January 2015

Whilst not one of the most popular shows with audiences the feedback we have received was that it was enjoyable, being slick, pacy and had plenty of humour.

From the Treasurer;
2015 saw another great show with the Front of House volunteers being kept busy even though audience numbers were slightly down on 2014. However, for the second time in 3 years, we have a small blip in our finances caused by damage to the Theatre. The cost of repair we will have to stand unless we are able to make a claim from our insurers. During the show there was some damage to the stage right proscenium arch caused by an “accidental collision”. The cost of repairing this including repainting the arch will be in excess of £1200. Our message to our cast of “Crazy for You” in 2016 is simple – have a great time and enjoy yourselves on stage – but be careful with this heritage building.

We are very pleased to announce we have 10 nominations from NODA District 1:
Best Programme (De-Luxe)
Best Male Comedy Performance; Richard Ross & Dan Richter – The Gangsters
Best Female Comedy Performance; Hannah Davenport – Lois Lane
Best Supporting Male in a Musical; Kit Phillips – Bill Calhoun

Best Leading Female in a Musical; Helen Attisha – Lilla Vanessi
