“OKLAHOMA!”
The most successful show we have staged for a number of years in terms of plaudits received and ticket sales. Many congratulations to everyone concerned with the production.

TREASURER’S REMARKS:
Only a few words from me this year, following on from the tremendous success of Oklahoma! in 2017. It is perhaps no secret that Social Media is dominating the headlines again, for good and less inspiring reasons, – but, for the Society – it can be a very effective tool to contact friends, relatives and so on helping them keep up to date with progress at rehearsals and to encouraging booking to get the best seats! So please all get onto Twitter, Facebook and the rest to promote our next show.

COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP:
We have a few vacancies this year and are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help the Committee with various roles – someone to be responsible for Social Media generally would be great. Committee membership only takes up a few hours a month for the majority of the year – increasing in the run up to our October show. Anyone interested in finding out more please contact us.

PROPS: George Wood, our Props co-ordinator for many years, has resigned for personal reasons. Over the years George has probably saved the Society hundreds of pounds due to his skill in making props (eg. suitcases in “Hello Dolly”) charging us only for the cost of materials – his only payment from the Society. At the end of each show we gave the Props team a small gift in appreciation. On behalf of the Committee I would like to sincerely thank George and Mary for all their hard work over the years.
