NODA North West District 1 January 2019:- Me and My Girl
We had 10 nominations and won the award for “Best Ensemble Piece” with “The Sun has got his hat on”.
To all the cast a very well deserved award.
Some thoughts for 2019. “Me and My Girl” was not as financially successful as Oklahoma! had been but still ensured that we will be able to continue entertaining our audiences for years to come.
For 2019 we have had an increase to the rent charged for the rehearsal room at St Andrew’s, and, as we are hiring on a ‘per hour ’ basis, it is important the rehearsals start promptly and that you continue to pay your £1 per session contribution towards the costs. Finally, I can only acknowledge the importance of social media as mentioned in the last newsletter. Due to increasing costs, everywhere it seems, use of this free media to encourage seat bookings is ever more important – keep up with the great work and mention the Society whenever you can !
Wishing you and your families a Happy New Year
We hope to see you on 27th February 2019 at 8.15pm
